Consultancy

Developing leaders, managers, and teams.

I work collaboratively with organisations to:

  • analyse management, leadership, and team development needs;

  • design offerings, both face-to-face and virtual, that range from one-off workshops to modular programmes;

  • facilitate, both face-to-face and virtually.

I aim to be pragmatic, making a day-to-day difference to individuals and teams, backed up by well researched models and frameworks.

Examples of recent private sector design and facilitation work include:

  • management development for an international reinsurer;

  • emerging leader development for a European medical care provider;

  • senior leader development for an international professional services firm;

  • HR development for a FTSE100 insurer, and a global bank.

Examples of recent public sector facilitation work include leadership development, career coaching, and senior leader development centres, for UK and Irish Civil Service.

Testimonials

I engaged Catherine to carry out a piece of work on Career Development at WaterAid, having prev. The piece of work Catherine delivered for us has received positive feedback from internal stakeholders, and it was invaluable having Catherine’s experience in career & talent on this piece of work. She took the time to understand what we needed, asking us some challenging questions to help us think through what we were trying to achieve. She was able to provide an objective & independent view, and gave an honest report of the feedback she heard. It’s always a pleasure to work in partnership with Catherine, along with her expertise she brings good humour and warmth to the working relationship.”

— Emily Wilton, Talent & OD Manager, WaterAid 2014

“Catherine worked with us to design a Coaching Skills programme for our line managers, and then delivered this over the course of 4 virtual workshops. She made sure to understand the brief and our context and challenges very well, and to keep checking in so that the content remained current throughout. Our people liked Catherine's approach and valued her expertise, in particular her facilitation and questioning skills which helped them to build relationships with peers and consider their goals as managers.”
